PRE►LOΔD

Prepare your neurobiology before the moment arrives.

Terms of Service

Effective date: June 5, 2026  |  preload.life  |  Contact: preloadbook@gmail.com

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PRE►LOΔD application, website, and related research program (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Christopher D. D. Larson, D.O. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The PRE►LOΔD app is the companion to the book PRE►LOΔD: Prepare Your Neurobiology Before the Moment Arrives, designed to help users prepare their nervous system before high-stakes professional, relational, and personal moments. The book stands on its own; the app is a convenience, never a requirement. The Service provides:

PRE►LOΔD is a personal performance and wellness tool, not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or clinical intervention. It is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychiatric condition.

2. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, children under 13. We do not knowingly permit registration by or collect personal information from anyone under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Users aged 13 to 17 may use the Service only with the verifiable consent and ongoing supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing a minor to use the Service, that parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor’s behalf, accepts responsibility for the minor’s use of it, and represents that they have reviewed the Privacy Policy and the health disclaimer in Section 7. Paid subscriptions may be purchased only by a person aged 18 or older.

By using the Service you represent that you are at least 13, that you meet the consent requirement above if you are under 18, and that you have the legal capacity (or your parent or guardian has consented on your behalf) to enter into these Terms.

The clinical screening instruments offered within the Service (including PHQ-9 and GAD-7) are self-report questionnaires intended for adults. A user under 18 should complete them only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, and results should be discussed with a qualified provider.

The Service operates as a progressive web application (PWA) storing data locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for the security of your data.

5.3 Refund Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Research Completion Refund, you must meet all three of the following criteria:

5.5 Data Collected in the Research Program

Research participants consent to the collection and use of the following anonymized, aggregate data:

The following data is never collected, transmitted, or stored externally:

Each participant is identified only by an anonymous alphanumeric Study ID (e.g., PL-A3F7K2) generated locally on their device.

5.6 Data Storage and Use

Research data is stored in a private Google Sheets database accessible only to PRE►LOΔD researchers. Data may be used for internal analysis, academic publication, and product improvement. Aggregated findings may be published without identifying individual participants. Individual participant data will not be sold or shared with third parties.

5.7 Withdrawal

You may withdraw from the research program at any time by disabling research enrollment in your app settings. Withdrawal does not affect your subscription access. Data already submitted cannot be retroactively deleted from aggregate datasets but will not be used in future submissions.

6. Privacy and Data Storage

6.1 On-Device Storage

All personal data — including journal entries, goals, HRV logs, protocol responses, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using your browser's local storage. This data is not transmitted to any server unless you explicitly enable Google Drive backup or research data submission.

6.2 Google Drive Backup

If you connect Google Drive, your data is backed up to a private application-specific folder in your personal Google account. This folder is accessible only by the PRE►LOΔD application and is not readable by Google or by us. You may disconnect and delete this data at any time through your Google account settings.

6.3 AI Features

AI-powered features use the Google Gemini API. Prompts sent to Gemini may include your role context, goal text, or intention data but never your journal entries or personally identifiable information. API requests are subject to Google's privacy policy.

6.4 Analytics

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies on the Service. No advertising is displayed. No data is sold to advertisers.
